
Curriculum Vitae
Dr. Maria Markella Pavlou is a Graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. During her studies she was a scholarship holder of the Cyprus State Scholarship Foundation.
She attended the postgraduate program for physicians in Internal Medicine Specialties as a postgraduate medical fellow at the Athens Hygeia Hospital.
She worked as a Rural Physician at the Distomo Health Centre and at the General Hospital of Livadia in the Prefecture of Viotia.
In 2019 she started working as a resident doctor in Internal Medicine at the Therapeutic Clinic of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, located in Alexandra General Hospital, at the Intensive and Continuous Care Unit. During her five-year residency she treated complex cases in the whole spectrum of Internal Medicine and contributed to the intensive treatment of critically ill patients. At the same time she actively participated in the educational program of the University Hospital.
Since 2022 she is attending Postgraduate studies in Hypertension and Cardiovascular and Renal Diseases at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
After completing the residency and succeding in residency examinations she obtained the title of Internal Medicine Doctor from the Pan-Hellenic Medical Association.
In the context of continuous education, she participates in conferences, seminars and publications in international journals.
Since March 2024 she has been working as a private physician, contracted with the GESY as an Adult Personal Physician.
